I came across a lovely
website when I was looking for arashi shibori information recently, and
I thought you might like to visit it too. The artist Deborah says: Deborah J. Hamouris Shibori In the creation of arashi shibori, silk is folded in a chosen pattern, then bound tightly onto a pole with thread. The fabric is then compressed together, rather like pushing a shirt-sleeve up your arm, creating folds and valleys. "Dyeing fabric makes me happy. I miss the times when I can’t make art, like people miss touch or the sound of a loved one’s voice." Visit Deborah's website - click here. Talk to
you soon! |
